MBSA's weekly
1-hour class format has been
designed to suit the needs of the
customer. This includes the
player/participant as well as the person
responsible for payment and
transportation. Each class meets weekly
at a specified time and day unless a
regularly scheduled holiday disrupts the
schedule. Check
online calendar for class times,
days and off days.
Student to instructor ratios are kept at
approximately 4 to 1. If more than 8
students enroll in the same class, then
a 2nd class will be offered. Some
classes and programs naturally allow for
more than a 4 to 1 ratio.
MBSA has four sessions throughout the
year: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
Each session is approximately 12 weeks
long or 3 months. Each class meeting is
$30, so the approximate cost for a 12
week session is $360 or $120 per month.
Payments (cash/check) can be made in
person at MBSA or online at:
http://shop.mantecabaseballsoftballacademy.com/
Half sessions are offered as well and
will last approximately 6 weeks at the
same weekly rate. Typically, the half
sessions will start 6 weeks after the
start of the new session and will end
concurrently with the full session. This
makes for a more affordable option and
allows new students to “Check us out”.
The 6 weeks is needed because it gives
the instructor enough tunnel time with
the student to make a real difference in
their performance.
Beginners and advanced players alike
have used the half session to “Check us
out” and often will re-enroll in the
following full session, or sign up for
another ˝ session. Our growing, repeat
customer base is solid proof of our
passion to improve the quality of
baseball and softball being played in
Manteca and surrounding communities.
If you miss the beginning of a session,
there is still time to enroll in the
class. However, registration will close
after the 3rd week. At this point, a
waiting list is created and every effort
is made to create a new class as soon as
possible. At MBSA’s discretion, we will
add students to existing classes.
Determining factors such as repeat
student, player ability, work ethic, and
so on are considered in adding students
beyond the 3rd week.
MAKE-UP classes: Sometimes, life gets in
the way and schedules change. If you are
going to miss your regularly scheduled
class, please inform your instructor.
Hundreds of baseball & softball students
come through MBSA's doors each month
making it very difficult to track
everyone's attendance. To
make up a class, you need to contact
Greg by calling him at (209) 482-5702
or by email at:
Greg will
discuss your options with you and they
include the following
1) Join a different class (of the same
type) for the week prior to or the week
after your absence.
2) *Set up a specific time to make up
your hour. Your instructor may or may
not be present for your makeup. Another
instructor may work the lesson. The
lesson may or may not happen within
the current session.
*PLEASE NOTE: The specified
make-up class will not
be a 1 on 1. When there are enough
students to make a class, a date will be
set. MBSA may bank your time so that you
can use it during the following session.
